GETTING TO KNOW OUR TRAINERS
Harry is the Owner and proprietor of The CAGES. His son's passion for baseball, as well as his own, motivated him into making The CAGES one of the most complete baseball training destinations in Maryland. He spends the majority of his time renovating and expanding The CAGES and adding new and exciting ways to complete your baseball training.
Harry is also the hitting coach for an elite travel baseball team located in Harford County MD. He teaches the art of hitting to players from ages 6-16. In the fall months, when most take a break from baseball, Harry is busy working with TEAM SWING XP, Elite Mid-Atlantic Tournament Teams ranging from 9U-12U, as recruiter, organizer and owner of the teams.
A Maryland native, Tim Sexton started his baseball career in Perry Hall while playing for the White Marsh Rec Council and then the Yankee Rebels. He is an alumni of the 2005 championship and nationally ranked Calvert Hall Baseball team and from there earned a scholarship to George Washington University in Washington DC. In 2007, Sexton was drafted out of Miami Dade Junior College in the 25th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Since then he has played professionally for the Dodgers, Royals, Rockies, Padres and A’s reaching as high as the Triple-A level. Over the Course of Sexton’s career he has developed a dynamic understanding of the game through his experience as a professional pitcher and exposure to the highest level of coaching for perfecting both the mental and physical aspects of his game. He will work to hone each students physical and mental skills to help them reach their full potential.

Rick Straub has coached hundreds of baseball players, played in thousands of games and has decades of catching experience. He has caught several future major league pitchers while playing in Baltimore, York Pa and in DC Leagues. He has published two books on catching; Advanced Catching Techniques and Catching4Kids.
Coach Rick will be having Summer School for Catchers here at The Cages and he will be available for individual lessons for baseball and softball catchers.
Bob Friedel is a left handed pitcher that played baseball, slow pitch softball and fast pitch softball for 41 years. He coached at all levels from recreation through to the highest levels of amateur baseball. Bob played baseball with Mark Belanger/SS, Moe Dradowski/P, Al Bumbry/OF, Ellie Hendricks/C, Ross Grimsley/P and Tom Shopay/OF. He was scouted by the Baltimore Orioles, Philadelphia Phillies, and Cincinnati Reds.
Tom Miller started playing baseball when he was 7 years old at the local recreation council and progressed up through the recreational age groups to travel leagues and then high school. During high school and summer baseball, the Minnesota Twins were scouting Tom. Although he was not drafted he was invited to try out for the Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds.
Chad has over 33 years of goalkeeping experience and played club soccer for Post 38. He was voted to the All County team at Overlea High School and played at Essex CC for coach Pete Caringi. Then he went on to play in the Maryland Majors for 4 years. Chad founded Rock Solid Keeping in 2008 with the mission to make sure goalkeepers who are sometimes forgotten about during team practices are able to sharpen their skills. He works with numerous travel and club programs and has keepers at every level from recreation all the way up to D1 college. Chad gives 110% to help players become Rock Solid Keepers.
